This is a work in progress using chalk on an old piece of plywood. The wood is torn at the edges and the overall texture creates impressionistic pattern for the chalk that is reminiscent of Van Gogh. I love this wood.

Jason, I love this wood too! And your fuchsia chalk. Thought I'd tell you that I had to drop my painting class :(... not enough time. So maybe one day I'll just get a fabulous one-on-one painting tips sesh with Jason.
Though I didn't comment at the time, the day you posted this I showed it to a few of my friends. Love the feeling. The aesthetic of this one goes great with your trees-and-light one you just posted today.
